No pics for this post. Just a ranting. I'm here at the cybercafe cuz I'm board out of my fucking skull. I've finally been holed up in a tent with most of the HHC fucks I've been trying to avoid for a year. Well we're in Camp Victory Kuwait awaiting transport to Ft. Drum to Demob. Someother units are here as well like the 116th from the Pacific Northwest and the 278th I think from Tennessee. Waiting here to go home. A lot of the people from the HHC 42nd Id I was able to avoid for a year that was wonderful. Now being back together I realized why I didn't want them near me. Since this place has a alteration shop and CAB's are in abundance you see a bunch of people walking around with them. As I've posted before a lot of people are undeserving of this badge. I wonder if they realize that they are fucking poseurs and not deserving of it. Or maybe they in their own right mind think they are. It makes me fucking sick. I know 2 guys walking around with one because of a mortar strike at the chow hall. I know a couple more guys walking around with one because someone in their convoy had a negligent discharge with a rifle his fat ass wasn't even qualified to carry. It boggles my mind from listening to the story about the incident being told by people that were there how the folks with the badge on their chest can even wear it with pride. They know its bullshit how could they not. One individual who is wearing it used to be a friend of mine from the civilian world. He used to talk about going Special Forces and shit. Then when we were out here he had a Master Sergeant pencil whip his PT test. Their excuse "well the first Sergeant did it" nice attitude. The same attitude that will plague the National Guard with incompentent leaders and out of shape, overweight Soldiers and leaders. I was afraid to really bash the unit before cuz they say that the Army checks these blogs and shit. Man I hope so. I hope they take a look at this unit and say holy shit this unit is fucked up. Thats 42nd ID HHC. Oh by the way did I mention that the SGTMAJ that wrote his guys up for a CAB due to a negligent discharge also left me and another soldier at the rifle range at Fort Drum before we came here? No. It was a whole van of senior and staff NCO's. By the good grace of god someone else from a different section ended up having enough room to drive us back. I have really got to get some pictures of these fat stupid fucks. You really got to see it to appreciate it. I've always been told to lead by example and never ask my troops to do anything that I would'nt do. I haven't seen that attitude at all from letting your troops eat before you to being the first person out of the chow hall one rounds are inbound.
Hopefully some of you poseurs out there will read this post. If you don't know you don't deserve here is the wake up call you fucking don't. You lesson the value of the award to those Soldiers out there who did earn it. I will see that award on your chest and know its a joke you make a mockery out of it through out the U.S. Army. The Army made a mistake by making the rules so loose so that you fools could get one because of a mortar strike, or a negligent discharge. Yet personal within the Division made it so stringent to be able to get a Purple Heart that my Soldier Jimmy Balls can't get one because he wasn't seen by a "medical officer" though the pictures are on here you saw his face that was peppered with shrapnel that an enlisted medic pulled out of his face, the goggles he was wearing that thankfully protected him from blindness, the weapon he had that took a piece of shrapnel to the feed tray cover the truck he was riding in, but he can't get a PH. He did get a CAB though. He got a CAB for surving small arms, 3 seperate IED attacks with a total of over 6 IED's. One attack being 2 seperate detonations on his truck within 7 minutes. Then there are tool boxes out there who got one for 1 fucking mortar strike. Lets not even get started on the eroneous issuing of Bronze Stars to staff officers that never left the wire. It should sadden and sicken you as it does me that these pencil pushers never left the fence and were awarded Bronze Stars while a majority of 11B Infantryman and combat armsmen out side the wire doing raids and facing the enemy got either an ARCOM or nothing. I heard of one instense where a female G1 soldier who got sent home because of a medical issue, and has been partying up eversince got a Bronze Star. Nice eh? Basically what I'm trying to say is that awards and medals in the Army are inflated and are being dealt out to the people that have time to sit down and write them because they didn't do shit their whole tour in Iraq but will go home and share in the accolades of being an OIF veteran. "Hey buddy what'd you get that CAB for?" "Um I don't really want to talk about it". Ya no shit I would be embarrassed too.. "So there I was eating lobster tail and drinking redbull when all of a sudden........BOOM. Amortar round explodes 30 meters from outside the chow hall. So I got up and left my food on the table and took shelter in a concrete bunker, with some pussy ass Col that told me to lock and load. So there I sat in the bunker and not another round landed and the all clear came and I went back to eating my lobster tail. I was a hero." Fucking Fags. Alright enough of my rant maybe I will have something positive to say in the days to come. I'll post again when I can.
